This is a reimagining of a 2013 British series of the same name, from Gone Girl and Sharp Objects author Gillian Flynn. The 8-episode season 1 lands on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, September 25, 2020. It's getting middling reviews from both critics and the public. And thus its cancellation on Nov 27, 2020 after only one season was not a big surprise.
