The six-part Canadian/British mini-series is actually now season 1 of an anthology series called "Departure." This first season is about the disappearance of a passenger jet over the Atlantic, an obvious nod to the enduring mystery of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Shooting for season 1 happened in Southern Ontario in 2018, and the series actually first debuted on Universal TV in the UK in July of 2019, then on NBC's new Peacock streaming service on Sept 17, 2020. Global is finally airing the first season starting Oct 8, 2020. We are assuming each of the six episodes will appear online for streaming as they air on TV. Production is underway on a Season 2, which will move from the air to land and feature the crash of an automated high-speed train traveling from Toronto to Chicago.
